
Lelien is the newest member of our team having joined us in 2010. Lelien has previously worked with leaders in the fields; in particular issues covered all areas relating to strata properties.
Admitted in 2002, Lelien has developed a strong foundation in Strata law. She has acted for and provided advice to owners, occupiers and Owners Corporations Executive Committee in large to small strata schemes across the Sydney Metropolitan area.
Lelien has represented clients in many strata matters involving:
• Defective building works and Home Owners Warranty disputes
• Building and Construction disputes
• By –Laws –drafting and enforcing
• Debt recovery
• Outstanding levies, interest and Section 80 expenses
• Mediation and Adjudication
• Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal disputes
• Local Court disputes; and
• Proceedings before the Supreme Court
Lelien also has experience in Environmental Law. She recently completed a Master in Environmental Law and Science with the University of Sydney, with a major focus on Global Warming. She has acted for clients overseas and locally on major environmental projects in the Northern Rivers NSW, involving the Coffs Harbor City Centre Plan and the Local Environmental Plans of Lismore, Ballina, Tweed heads and Byron Shire.
Lelien has assisted clients with their submissions to Local Councils about various Development Applications. She has provided advice about the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (EPBC Act), the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, State Environmental Planning Policies (SEPPs), Local Environmental Plans (LEPs) and other Environmental Planning Instruments. Lelien has carried out extensive research in the areas of Climate Change, environmental protection, mining, energy use and management, and greenhouse has mitigation.
